About Jewish Collaborative Services
Jewish Collaborative Services (JCS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit housing and social service agency serving Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Established in 2018 through the merger of Jewish Family Service of RI (JFSRI) and Jewish Seniors Agency of RI (JSARI), JCS brings together decades of expertise in social services and senior care under one roof.
JCS is a comprehensive, solutions-oriented resource for individuals and families facing physical, emotional, housing, nutrition, and other challenges. Its full-spectrum programming includes aging and wellness services, assisted living (Tamarisk), affordable senior and mobility-impaired housing (Shalom Apartments), caregiver support, counseling for children and adults, food and nutrition programs, and adoption services.
Guided by Jewish values of compassion, humanity, and inclusiveness, JCS serves people of all backgrounds and religious affiliations. The organization operates from its headquarters on North Main Street in Providence as well as its West Bay campus, employing dozens of staff dedicated to helping community members recover and thrive.
