Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School

Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School is a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade community day school in Palo Alto, California, serving students ages 4 through 14 from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Founded in 1989 and renamed in 2003 in honor of Israeli jurist Gideon Hausner (lead prosecutor at the Eichmann trial), the school blends a rigorous general studies curriculum with an immersive Jewish Studies program covering Jewish text, history, language, and culture.

Hausner cultivates a joyful, pluralistic learning community that builds students’ capacity for critical thinking, creativity, and moral courage through a complementary curriculum of general and Jewish studies, fostering a love of Jewish tradition and culture alongside an abiding commitment to the Jewish people, the State of Israel, and American society.
