About Peninsula Sinai Congregation

Peninsula Sinai Congregation (PSC) is a Conservative synagogue in Foster City, California, affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Established in 1967, the congregation describes itself as an active, participatory, and diverse community where members feel a sense of connection and friendship with one another.

Members come from all backgrounds to form an embracing, warm, egalitarian, and Jewishly committed community. Through Torah (learning), Avodah (prayer), and Gemilut Hasadim (acts of kindness), PSC helps people on their spiritual quests for God, meaning, and fellowship, while its mission is to serve as a derech — a pathway for making Judaism and Jewish identity a more meaningful and spiritually fulfilling part of people’s lives.

PSC is known for its inclusive approach, welcoming multifaith families, LGBTQ+ individuals, and spiritual seekers of all kinds, and it maintains a deep connection to Israel and the global Jewish community. The congregation offers Shabbat and weekday services, a religious school, youth programs, adult education, and numerous committees and affinity groups (including PS Women) that foster community engagement.
