About Jewish Federation of Orange County
The Jewish Federation of Orange County (JFedOC) has served the Orange County Jewish community since 1965, when it was incorporated as the Jewish Community Council of Orange County. Based on Jewish values, the organization convenes, engages, and leads the Jewish OC community and its partners, leverages its resources to enhance and sustain Jewish life, assists people in need, mobilizes on issues of concern to the local Jewish community, and strengthens the bond with Israel and Jewish people globally.
Through its annual campaign and network of partner agencies, JFedOC funds programs that touch tens of thousands of lives locally, in Israel, and around the world. Signature initiatives include PJ Library, which sends free Jewish-themed books each month to children from birth to age 12, and Women’s Philanthropy, which inspires purposeful giving and engages, empowers, and educates women in the community.
JFedOC also runs NextGen, its young adult division, which creates an inclusive community for individuals in their 20s, 30s, and early 40s to connect and build toward future Jewish leadership. The Solomon Society recognizes leaders and philanthropists who contribute significantly to the Federation’s Annual Campaign, helping the organization respond to crises and sustain Jewish communal life for generations to come.
