A More Perfect Union launched in 2022 to inspire, power, and activate the American Jewish community to protect and strengthen American democracy. It uses a collective-impact approach to build a cross-partisan network of Jewish civil society organizations.
Its main initiative is the Jewish Partnership for Democracy (JPD). The JPD gives member institutions tools, training, funding opportunities, and a national network. Synagogues, JCCs, Hillels, federations, day schools, and other Jewish organizations can use these to deepen civic learning, build civic relationships, and take civic action.
The organization also publishes resources for rabbis and Jewish leaders, including a digital hub with partner resources and election-related campaigns. A group of Strategic Advisors guides its work. It is fiscally sponsored by The Goodnation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
