About Jewish Federation Of Ventura County
Inspired by Tradition, Tzedakah and Tikkun Olam, the Jewish Federation of Ventura County is dedicated to the survival and continuity of Israel and the Jewish People. Based in Ventura, California, the Federation serves as the central fundraising and communal organization for the county’s Jewish community.
The Federation’s mission is to fund Jewish educational and cultural activities, provide economic relief and non-sectarian social services, and fight antisemitism and BDS. Through its affiliated social service agency, Jewish Family Service, it offers low-cost, non-sectarian counseling to individuals, couples and families, along with case management for seniors and Holocaust survivors.
The Federation provides opportunities for community members to advocate for the humanitarian needs of Jews around the world, communicates the relevance of Jewish identity and spirituality, develops leadership skills, and addresses evolving issues facing the contemporary Jewish community, including support for programs such as Birthright Israel trips for young adults.
