About Beth Jacob Congregation Irvine

Beth Jacob Congregation of Irvine began in the summer of 1986 with a small group of Jews who wanted to establish a modern community based on traditional Jewish values, meeting in storefronts and bowling alleys before finding a permanent home. Today the congregation stands at 3900 Michelson Drive in Irvine, serving an ever-growing, diverse membership drawn from American, British, European, Israeli, Persian, Mexican, South American, and South African backgrounds.

Beth Jacob prides itself on being the only shul in Orange County offering services up to three times a day, 365 days a year, with Shabbat and holiday services enhanced by a talented choir. The congregation offers a variety of services, resources, and activities designed to meet the religious, educational, cultural, and social needs of its members, positioning itself as a home for promoting traditional Judaism in Orange County and defining Orthodoxy for the next generation.

Beyond religious services, Beth Jacob hosts a range of community and social activities throughout the year, including holiday dinners, a Simchat Torah Bash, bowling nights, comedy nights, and wine tastings, fostering a close-knit, spiritually engaged community in the heart of Orange County between Newport Beach and Santa Ana.
