About JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES OF GREENWICH

Jewish Family Services of Greenwich (JFS) was founded in 1983. The Greenwich Jewish Federation, now known as UJA-JCC, saw a need for counseling and elder care services and helped start the agency. It is a non-profit, non-discriminatory social services agency. Its mission is to improve the lives of families and individuals of all ages while embracing Jewish wisdom, tradition, and compassion.

JFS serves people of all backgrounds in Fairfield and New London Counties, Connecticut. Its programs include behavioral health counseling, food insecurity support, immigration legal services, Jewish health and healing, refugee resettlement, and senior services. The agency also runs Jewish-themed programming.

JFS is a refugee resettlement agency through HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society). It partners with local social services agencies to help families facing economic challenges. Besides its Greenwich headquarters, it has offices in Norwich and New London, CT.
