Yeshiva Har Torah (YHT) is a Centrist Modern Orthodox yeshiva elementary school for boys and girls in Little Neck, New York. It serves families across Queens and Nassau County, Long Island. Its mission is to educate children in a warm, caring environment that brings out each student’s unique qualities. It also aims to instill a love of Torah, mitzvot and proper middot.
The school was founded more than three decades ago. Rabbi Gary Menchel has been Head of School since 1995. Under his leadership YHT has grown into a large school, with a student body of several hundred children in grades PK-8.
YHT works out of a modern facility on Grand Central Parkway. Its graduates go on to the yeshiva high schools of their choice throughout New York City and Nassau County, with individualized high school guidance for all students.
