Join MJE for a live stream of a community wide event by UJA, JCRC & The Hostages and Missing Families Forum for a commemoration of October 7
In commemoration of the one year yahrzeit of those we lost last October 7th, The Jewish Center Young Leadership invites the broader community to join together for a screening of Aish’s documentary: October 7 Voices of Pain, Hope and Heroism, a documentary that tells the stories of five families affected by the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. It highlights Jewish resilience and hope through their experiences.
WE WILL DANCE AGAIN is told through the eyes of more than a dozen survivors, many of whom videotaped their experiences as the massacre unfolded. The film weaves together eyewitness accounts from over a dozen survivors, along with footage captured by both the victims and Hamas.
Join us for a host gathering to consider what it means to mark Jewish time during the High Holiday season while commemorating the first anniversary of October 7th.
This October 3, duck out of the New York City hubbub for an hour of refuge at the West 86–90th Street Landscape in Central Park. Return to a simpler, more essential state, together with fellow New Yorkers. Hear the stirring, unadulterated blasts of the Shofar as we reflect on our collective birthday. And walk away with a message that you were carrying all along.
