Dana Bash and Juju Chang, two award-winning journalists helping America make sense of itself today, moderated by CRS Member Ali Zelenko, a veteran media and communications strategist, will explore what it takes to report in a fractured civic landscape.
Dana Bash is CNN’s chief political correspondent, anchor of Inside Politics with Dana Bash and co-anchor of State of the Union. An award-winning journalist, she has played a leading role in CNN’s political coverage for decades, conducting high-profile interviews and moderating presidential debates and town halls. She is also the co-author of the New York Times bestseller America’s Deadliest Election and has received numerous honors for her reporting, including the National Press Foundation’s Sol Taishoff Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism.
Juju Chang is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and co-anchor of ABC News’ Nightline. Over her four-decade career, she has reported on major national and international stories for Good Morning America, 20/20 and IMPACT x Nightline, with acclaimed coverage spanning anti-Asian violence, immigration, LGBTQ+ issues, mental health and gender-based violence. Her work has been recognized with multiple Emmys and honors from GLAAD, Peabody, DuPont and Murrow.
Ali Zelenko is a CRS member, veteran media executive and founder of Ali Z Strategies, a communications consultancy. Over a 30-year career, she has held leadership roles at some of the nation’s most important news organizations, including a decade overseeing communications for NBC News, following senior positions at TIME, CNN and People. She serves on the boards of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and the Peabody Awards.
