About Emma
Emma Günsberger graduated from the Lauder schools in Prague, where she got involved in Jewish activism. For three years, Emma was part of the event management team of the student conference at Lauder schools “In Medias Res”.
She is the current president of the Czech Union of Jewish Students (ČUŽM). In 2021 her Union was given the award “Developing Union of the Year” by EUJS. In 2022 she won the title “Union leader of the Year” and on top of that her union was awarded a prize for “Jewish Initiative of the Year”.
She also collaborated on the “Never Again Right Now” campaign. She has been an active contributor to EUJS (European Union of Jewish Students) and WUJS (World Union of Jewish Students) seminars, congresses and other events. In addition, she wrote articles for EUJS’s magazine “The Bridge” and JöH’s magazine “Noodnik”.
Nowadays, Emma is in third year of Middle Eastern studies at Charles University in Prague. Her field of focus is Persian and Jewish studies.
