“Three Irish-Jewish Connection” presents three chapters in this fascinating history. First, the role of the global Jewish community in providing aid during Ireland’s Great Hunger, the worst European disaster of the 19th century. Second, Ireland’s proud relationship with the Jewish community, as highlighted by President of Ireland Mary McAleese’s visit to Congregation Shearith Israel in Manhattan in 2010. Third, the story of large community Jews who escaped WW2 Austria and settled in Northern Ireland.
