ABOUT THIS EVENT
The Jewish Book Festival brings stories to life through meaningful conversation, memorable experiences, and community connection. More than a traditional book discussion group, the club welcomes acclaimed authors for intimate conversations, giving members the opportunity to engage directly with the writers behind the books.
Each gathering is thoughtfully curated, combining literature with food, wine, cocktails, or culinary experiences inspired by the themes, settings, and cultures explored in the selected works. Through engaging discussions, author events, and shared meals, the club creates a warm and welcoming space where ideas are exchanged, relationships are built, and Jewish stories, history, and culture are celebrated.
Whether exploring contemporary fiction, memoir, history, or Jewish thought, the club offers an enriching experience that nourishes both the mind and the spirit.

October 25 | 11:00 am | Notes That Endure: “You, With Your Waiting” by Leslie Lacin at Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC. Champagne brunch with Florida Wind Band performance, discussing two Jewish siblings in 1941 Soviet Union. $36
October 25 | 2:00 pm | Blooming Intuition: “Flower Energy: Channeling the Healing Power of Blooms” by Jenny Barker at Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC. Design your own take-home bouquet while enjoying coffee, tea, and sweets. $18
October 25 | 4:00 pm | Pages and Prosecco: “Sofa Bed Island” by Jodi Michelle Cutler at Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC. Girls evening out with endless Prosecco, Tuscan treats, bedazzle your book cover. $18

October 30 | 11:30 am | Bold Woman, Brilliant Stories: “Between Chapters: How I Started Over, Took Some Chances, and Found the Plot” by Zibby Owens at Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC. Festival luncheon with celebrity media mogul, podcaster, bookstore owner, TV host. Four course luncheon and signed book included. $54
November 1 | 9:30 am | Empower • Create • Explore: “The Art of Jewish Joy” by Amanda Kingloff at Congregation Kol Ami. Learn fun and meaningful ways to celebrate each holiday through hands-on crafts, creative ideas, thoughtful conversation. Continental breakfast, crafting and demonstration. $10 adult ticket; kids under 12 FREE (suggested age 8+)
November 1 | 2:00 pm | Decades of Sweet Tradition: “William Greenberg Desserts Bakes Vegan” by Carol Becker at Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC. Tea and tasting party with sweets from iconic 80-year-old NYC kosher bakery. Engaging presentation, lively conversation, delicious tasting of select vegan recipes. $18
November 1 | 4:00 pm | Manufacturing the Magic: “Playmakers: The Jewish Entrepreneurs Who Created the Toy Industry in America” by Michael Kimmel at Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC. Remarkable story of Jewish immigrant entrepreneurs who created iconic companies like Mattel and Hasbro. Reminisce with toys that defined generations while enjoying deli dinner, lively presentation, playful journey through toy history. $28
