Come for Shabbat. Leave knowing a few more people.
Join hosts Jessica Kiedes and Paula, Jewish Young Community (JYC) New Jersey and Morristown Jewish Center for an evening of community, prayer, tradition and a home-cooked meal by Cantor Shana. Jewish young adults ages 21–39ish, young professionals and graduate students are welcome. Come solo or bring a friend; no membership or prior Shabbat experience is required.
Why this night exists: A local table can become a local community. JYC created this dinner as a low-pressure first stop for Jewish adults ages 21–39 in Morris County—no membership, no dues and no assumed level of Shabbat experience.
Presented by Jewish Young Community (JYC), a project of Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael.
The evening: Two acts. One shared table.
1. Service & Shabbat welcome: Begin together at 6:15 PM with the Shabbat service at Morristown Jewish Center. Share tradition and a welcoming start to the evening.
2. Dinner & conversation: Dinner begins at 7:15 PM, with a home-cooked meal by Cantor Shana and time to get to know one another. The evening concludes at 9:00 PM.
