Riverway x Wishdish: Cooking for Those in Need (20s & 30s)
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join the Riverway Project and WishDish Founder, Jeannie Gruber, as we get into the kitchen to learn about what WishDish is, how it started, and how they’re helping the Boston community.
We’ll get to make a few recipes directly from the WishDish cookbook, share a bite to eat with one another, and donate the majority of the food to WishDish to help feed Boston’s homeless population.
About WishDish:
Everyone has a favorite dish. The WISHDISH Project is a high-impact, grass roots organization making favorite dishes of the homeless communities in Boston and New Orleans. Our goal is to engage in and cultivate authentic conversations about food and culture in our cities. By engaging in this dialog and asking the simple question of “what is your favorite food memory dish,” we hope that we can bring the comforts of home to each of our participants. In collaboration, we are able to capture the story and each participants love of food while feeding those in need through shared home-cooked, healthy meals that nourish the mind, body, and soul.
This event and the Riverway Project are open to all in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area.
