The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Silicon Valley Chapter is a professional membership organization serving fundraising and development professionals across Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Chartered in 1985, the chapter is part of the larger AFP international network with over 30,000 members in more than 230 chapters across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China.
AFP Silicon Valley Chapter consists of members working to advance philanthropy through education, advocacy, research, and certification programs, fostering the development and growth of fundraising professionals and promoting high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.
The chapter offers monthly luncheon meetings with featured speakers, a monthly e-newsletter, networking opportunities, a job board for local nonprofit positions, a membership directory, a Philanthropy Day event each November honoring local philanthropists and volunteers, mentorship programs, professional development scholarships, and educational workshops held both in-person and virtually. It serves as a hub for fundraising professionals and the broader nonprofit community in the Silicon Valley/Bay Area region.
