Camp Judaea

Established in 1961, Camp Judaea is a Jewish, Israel-centered summer camp community for children ages 7-15 located in Hendersonville, NC. Nestled on 118 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Judaea offers a wide variety of activities in a loving family atmosphere, allowing campers to explore, grow, and build a lasting connection to Israel and Jewish identity.

As a Young Judaea camp community and an independent 501(c)(3), Camp Judaea traces its roots to a group of Zionist-minded community leaders in the 1950s who worked to build the foundations of the camp, acquiring their own campground in Hendersonville in 1961. Since then, it has instilled a strong Jewish identity and love of Israel in generations of children and young adults.

Camp Judaea’s programming blends outdoor adventure, Israeli culture, and Jewish values, with activities ranging from Israeli dance and art to ropes courses and overnight camping trips, all within a pluralistic, welcoming Jewish community.
