About Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake

Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake is a co-ed Jewish overnight camp located on 86 acres in Dutchess County, in New York’s Hudson Valley, serving campers entering 2nd through 8th grade. As part of the Young Judaea Sprout Camps network (the summer expression of the Young Judaea Zionist youth movement), Sprout Lake has been building community and fostering Jewish identity for over 45 years.

Sprout Lake offers a pluralistic Jewish community that welcomes campers and staff from every denomination, from secular “Just Jewish” backgrounds to modern Orthodox, within a shomer Shabbat, kosher environment. Programming is designed to strengthen Jewish identity, foster a connection to Israel, and build lasting friendships, while an elective-based schedule offers activities such as horseback riding, arts, sports, and outdoor adventure across 3.5-week summer sessions.

Beyond its flagship overnight camp, the organization has expanded into day camp programming, including Sprout Brooklyn, a pluralistic Hebrew-English day camp launched in partnership with UJA-Federation of New York and the Israeli-American Council. Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake maintains a winter office in Croton-on-Hudson, NY in addition to its camp facility in Verbank, NY.
