Chabad On Campus International

Chabad on Campus International (COCI) is the umbrella organization supporting the worldwide network of Chabad Houses serving Jewish students on college campuses. Founded in 1969 at UCLA and operating as a division of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch, the educational arm of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, COCI now supports hundreds of Chabad Houses reaching hundreds of campuses across North America and around the globe.

COCI provides Chabad House directors (Shluchim and Shluchos) with logistical support, staff training, fundraising assistance, and centralized programming such as national Shabbatons and student leadership retreats, along with grants that encourage creative local programming. Through meaningful experiences, holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, text study, and one-on-one mentorship, students form lasting connections to Jewish life and to one another, regardless of their background or level of affiliation.

Based in Brooklyn, New York, the organization’s mission is to support the vibrancy and growth of Jewish student life on campus through the sustainability and success of Chabad Houses worldwide, ensuring every Jewish student has the opportunity to deepen their connection to their faith, heritage, and identity.
