City Winery NYC

Pier 57 urban winery, restaurant, and live music venue founded by Michael Dorf — a popular host for concerts, private events, and Jewish life-cycle celebrations.

About City Winery NYC

City Winery NYC is a premier urban winery, restaurant, and live music venue located on Pier 57 in Hudson River Park, offering chef-crafted American cuisine, award-winning wines made on-site, and sweeping Hudson River views. The flagship Manhattan location features two performance spaces — a 350-seat concert hall and a smaller 150-capacity loft — plus a restaurant with a pizza bar and coffee roasting station.

Founded in 2008 by Michael Dorf, the original creator of Manhattan’s Knitting Factory, City Winery has grown into a national hospitality brand with venues in Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Boston, Washington DC, Hudson Valley, Philadelphia, and beyond. Dorf is well known for his deep ties to the Jewish community: he founded Tribeca Hebrew, an after-school program that grew to 150 children before merging with JCP in 2009, and has long woven Jewish cultural programming and philanthropy into his work.

For Jewish New Yorkers, City Winery NYC is a popular venue for b’nai mitzvah celebrations, weddings, and private events on nights when the main stage is dark, in addition to hosting a steady calendar of concerts, comedy, wine tastings, and holiday programming.
