About CYP Long Beach
Chabad Young Professionals (CYP) of Long Beach is a program of Shul By The Shore, the Chabad Jewish center in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, California. It serves as a local hub of the international Chabad Young Professionals network, bringing together Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s who live and work in the Long Beach (LBC) area.
CYP Long Beach organizes Shabbat dinners, social mixers, holiday celebrations, and Jewish learning opportunities designed to go beyond typical social events, giving young professionals a way to deepen their connection to Judaism while building friendships within the local Jewish community. The group also partners with other local organizations, such as Jewish Long Beach, Beach Hillel, and Beth David Young Professionals, on joint programming for the young adult Jewish community.
As part of the broader Chabad Young Professionals movement, CYP Long Beach connects its members to global offerings including the CYP Academy (Jewish learning courses for people in their 20s and 30s) and international Shabbaton weekends. The community welcomes Jews of all backgrounds and levels of religious observance.
