Federation CJA’s GenMTL

GenMTL is the young adult division of Federation CJA, dedicated to inspiring and engaging the diverse Jewish population under 40 across Montreal’s 514 area code and surrounding regions. Rooted in the Jewish values of community, education, and giving, GenMTL creates innovative, meaningful experiences designed to help young Jewish adults find their place in the community while honoring the traditions of past generations.

The division organizes its programming around several core “gateways,” including GenMTL Connects (social and networking events), GenMTL Grows (education and personal development), GenMTL Leads (leadership training, including partnerships like the Richter Jewish Chamber of Commerce), GenMTL Travels (group trips, including to Israel), and GenMTL Gives Back (volunteerism and philanthropy, including initiatives like The Ora Collective for young women donors). Together these programs help members meet, network, learn, travel, and give back to the Jewish community.

As part of Federation CJA, GenMTL plays a role in cultivating the next generation of Jewish communal leaders in Montreal, offering members opportunities to build lasting friendships, deepen their Jewish identity, and eventually take on leadership roles within Federation CJA’s network of agencies and initiatives.
