About Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York

The Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) is a consortium of independent schools in and around New York City. It is the largest regional admissions organization of its kind in the country. It coordinates admissions procedures and aims to make the process orderly, equitable, and professional. It has done this since 1965.

Member schools agree to follow a shared Membership Agreement and common Notification & Reply Dates. For families, ISAAGNY runs workshops, sends newsletters, and offers resources such as admissions trackers, a School Finder tool, and financial aid guidance for preschool, kindergarten, and middle/upper school applicants.

ISAAGNY also gives admissions professionals at member schools a place to collaborate. It offers professional development and access to research on teaching and learning practices.

ISAAGNY is not a Jewish-specific organization. It is a general independent-school association, and its member schools may include Jewish day schools.
