Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Long Beach & Orange County (JFCS) is an independent, non-sectarian social service agency that has served the Greater Long Beach and Orange County community for decades. Rooted in Jewish values and inspired by the strengths of the diverse communities it serves, JFCS provides professional mental health care and assists families in crisis with a safety net of supportive services, welcoming clients regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender expression, or sexual orientation.

JFCS offers a wide range of programs including individual, couple, family, and group counseling; a Center for Youth and Families with school-based counseling, anti-bullying, and social-skills programming in partnership with local schools; an Older Adult Program providing case management, in-home care for Holocaust survivors, and support so seniors can age safely in place; a Domestic Violence Program; career counseling; and financial and refugee/resettlement assistance.

Founded on the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (healing the world) and Tzedakah (giving to those in need), JFCS’s vision is a community healed, one person and one family at a time. The agency continues to expand its reach, including bringing additional mental health and senior services throughout Orange County.
