About Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey

The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFSNJ) began in 1922 when a group of community members created an organization to serve the Jews of Camden, and it has since grown into the central communal organization for Jewish life across Southern New Jersey. Today, along with its family of agencies, JFSNJ cares for those in need, enhances Jewish life, and ensures the continuity of a vibrant Jewish community locally, in Israel, and around the world.

JFSNJ and its affiliated agencies serve tens of thousands of people across Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties, offering programming and resources for children, teens, young adults, older adults, and individuals with disabilities. Services include counseling, food pantries, low- and moderate-income housing, Jewish education, Israel advocacy, and a wide range of social, cultural, and recreational programs.

The Federation also runs a dedicated Young Adult Division (YAD) that empowers Jewish adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s to build community, generosity, and leadership, alongside its broader mission of connecting Jews of all ages throughout the region.
