About Jewnity for Batya
Jewnity for Batya (formerly SHINE: Inspired Jewish Women) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to unite and support Jewish women through the vehicle of travel and adventure. The organization brings together Jewish women from different backgrounds on immersive journeys across the globe to destinations such as Poland-Israel, Morocco, Argentina, South Africa, India, and Italy, exploring local history, culture, and cuisine together.
More than sightseeing, Jewnity’s trips are designed around transcending differences, letting go of the everyday, and stepping into something deeper as a group. Participants explore the beauty of each destination while uncovering their shared humanity, rooted in a collective Jewish identity, through hands-on service projects and open-hearted conversation.
The organization is led by a team of Jewish women educators and trip leaders, including founder Eve Levy, a longtime Momentum/JWRP city leader and trip educator known for creating the Poland-Israel Journey, along with fellow leaders Malka Blitz, Tia Weniger, and Aliza Bulow.
