About JNS (Jerusalem News Syndicate)

The Jerusalem News Syndicate (JNS), formerly known as the Jewish News Syndicate, is an independent, nonprofit news agency founded in 2011 that covers Israel and the Jewish world. Originally launched with an exclusive U.S. distribution deal with the Israeli daily Israel Hayom, JNS has grown into a leading wire service providing news, features, opinion, podcasts and multimedia content to more than 100 print and digital media outlets worldwide.

JNS exists to counter what it views as false or biased media narratives about Israel and the Jewish people with honest, fact-based reporting. It maintains bureaus in the United States and Jerusalem, and its content is syndicated to Jewish newspapers, community publications and other outlets across the English-speaking world, reaching millions of readers.

Editorially, JNS is generally regarded as more conservative and hawkish than its larger, older competitor the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, though it describes itself as nonpartisan. It is led by editor-in-chief Jonathan S. Tobin, with publishers Russel Pergament and Joshua Katzen, and produces a range of formats including breaking news, opinion columns, podcasts and JNS TV video content.
