Kohelet Yeshiva

Kohelet Yeshiva is a warm and embracing Modern Orthodox K-12 yeshiva day school in Merion Station, Pennsylvania, serving boys and girls from the Delaware Valley region. The school is committed to cultivating Bnei and Bnot Torah who think critically and creatively while exuding confidence and compassion, blending joyful, rigorous academics with passionate Torah values across its Lab School, Middle School, High School, and Beit Midrash programs.

The school traces its roots to 1997 as Stern Hebrew High School, founded by Jewish communal leader Harry Stern z”l, and began operations in 2000 in the basement of the JCC Klein Branch with a charter class of 15 students. In 2016, Kohelet Yeshiva High School merged with the Yeshiva Lab School to create a seamless K-12 pathway of innovative Jewish education, and the school has since grown to an entire campus serving several hundred students.

Today Kohelet Yeshiva offers a full continuum from early elementary through high school, combining an innovative, hands-on Lab School and Middle School experience with a traditional college-preparatory High School, alongside a Beit Midrash program offering classes for the greater Philadelphia Jewish community.
