Moishe House Adams Morgan

A home-based hub in Washington DC's Adams Morgan neighborhood where young Jewish adults gather for Shabbat dinners, holidays, and community programming.

About Moishe House Adams Morgan

Moishe House Adams Morgan is one of the Washington, D.C. locations of Moishe House, the international peer-led network of homes where young Jewish adults host programs and build community for their peers. The Adams Morgan house is run by four residents — Jonah Baskin, Juliet Brooks, Ben Fleisher, and Tali Nusbaum — long-time D.C. residents who opened the house after Moishe House Georgetown closed, bringing their shared love of science fiction, fantasy, women’s sports, and the outdoors into their programming.

Programming at the house typically includes Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, community service projects, and casual social gatherings designed to weave Jewish learning and tradition into the everyday lives of D.C.’s young adult Jewish community. As with all Moishe Houses, the Adams Morgan residents create programming for fellow Jewish young adults roughly ages 22–32.

Moishe House Adams Morgan operates under Mem Global, the umbrella organization for the global Moishe House network. The wider Moishe House model gives residents a rent subsidy and programming budget so they can turn their home into a vibrant hub of Jewish life for their peers.
