St. Paul Jewish Federation

Since 1935, the St. Paul Jewish Federation has served as the community’s central address for meeting Jewish needs — responding to crises, fighting poverty, strengthening Jewish identity, and promoting social justice. The Federation unites people to care for the most vulnerable in St. Paul, Israel, and more than 70 countries, providing pathways for community members to engage in Jewish life.

Guided by Jewish values, the Federation works to ensure the lasting presence of an inclusive and vibrant Jewish community in St. Paul, where all members feel seen, understood, and supported. It provides funding and support to local, national, and international partner agencies, coordinates community-wide fundraising campaigns, and inspires leadership, philanthropy, and initiatives that deliver impact for the community.

The organization traces its roots to St. Paul’s first city-wide Jewish fundraising campaign in 1935, and later institutional mergers in the 1940s that brought together community planning and social welfare functions. Today it continues that legacy by connecting donors, volunteers, and partner organizations to sustain Jewish communal life in the Twin Cities region and beyond.
