About The Den Collective

The Den Collective is a Washington, DC-area Jewish nonprofit that co-creates intentional Jewish experiences for adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s throughout the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virginia). Rather than functioning as a traditional synagogue or institution, the Den offers a unique communal model built around one-to-one rabbinic relationships, intimate gatherings, and deeply personalized Jewish engagement — fostering spaces where everyone has a rabbi they can talk to, learn with, and lean on.

The Den’s programming grows organically from individual conversations, resulting in offerings that include Torah study sessions, challah bakes, meditation hikes, holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, and social events. The Den Cubs program serves parents and young families, helping them connect, share resources, and celebrate Jewish holidays together. All experiences are designed to be accessible, welcoming, and rooted in tradition regardless of background.

Founded in 2016 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Maryland, the Den Collective partners with the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and other community organizations to serve as a complementary piece of the broader Jewish communal ecosystem. Its collaborative, person-first approach has made it a distinctive and beloved presence for unaffiliated and underserved Jewish adults across the DC metro area.
