About The New Jewish Home
The New Jewish Home is a comprehensive, mission-driven nonprofit senior health care system that has served older New Yorkers since 1848. With campuses in Manhattan and Westchester (Sarah Neuman), plus home care and housing programs across Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Westchester, the organization provides a full continuum of care including short-term rehabilitation, long-term nursing care, adult day health care, assisted living, affordable senior housing, and home care services.
The organization’s mission is to empower older adults to enhance purpose and well-being through a portfolio of innovative health care services, serving people of all faiths, ethnicities, and income levels. It is also home to a Research Institute on Aging that studies innovations in geriatric care, funded by grants from organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association and the National Institute on Aging.
As one of the oldest and largest senior care providers in New York City, The New Jewish Home combines its historic Jewish values-based mission with modern, person-centered approaches to eldercare, supporting close to 4,000 New Yorkers in leading meaningful lives in the communities they love.
