About Tikkun Olam Volunteers (TOV), Volunteering Hub powered by Federation CJA

Tikkun Olam Volunteers (TOV) is Federation CJA’s dedicated volunteering division, rooted in the Jewish concept of tikkun olam, or repairing the world. TOV serves as a hub that connects community members to short-term, hands-on volunteer experiences supporting the people who rely on Federation CJA and its network of affiliated agencies to improve their quality of life.

The program offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities, from cooking and food-collection drives to seasonal community projects, allowing participants to give back in a meaningful and flexible way. TOV also includes dedicated tracks for different age groups, such as YAD TOV for young adults and TOV Teen for teens, ensuring that Montreal Jews of all ages and life stages can find a volunteer opportunity suited to them.

As part of Federation CJA, the central philanthropic and community organization serving Montreal’s Jewish community since 1916, TOV reflects the broader Federation mission of strengthening Jewish life, supporting the vulnerable, and building an engaged, connected community through volunteerism.
