Jewish Speed Dating: Board Game Edition
After a bunch of you sent us Quirk’s board game speed dating event, we asked them if they would do a Jewish version… and the nice Jewish boy who happens to run the company said YES!
Here’s how it works: A gaming concierge walks you through several games over the course of the night. You play classics you love and discover brand new games you’ve never heard of, playing each with a different group of fun singles. At the end of the night, you give your gaming concierge a list of the folks you met that you’d like to date and a list of those you met that you’d like to just hang out with as friends.
Quirk will also be advertising this to the (Jewish) folks in their own community so expect new faces and lots of fun. Hot tip: if you join their mailing list, you will get a code for 50% off this event!
Foodie Tribe: Tu B’Shvat Seder
Please join us for a Tu B’Shvat (The Jewish New Year for Trees) Seder – Foodie Tribe-Style! We will sample the various species of Tu B’Shvat fruits and nuts, along with four cups of wine, while exploring our connection to nature and spirituality. Each category will be accompanied by a food-related activity, like crostini-making and cupcake-decorating. Throughout the seder there will be activities like planting your own herbs to take home, a social action project, and discussion around themes of environmental consciousness and Jewish mysticism.
Singles Murder Mystery Masquerade Shabbat
Shabbat is about to get very intriguing — great food and drinks, single Jewish young professionals, and a killer good time await!
Join our matchmakers for Midnight at the Masquerade, an interactive, two-hour murder mystery experience led by the talented (and slightly suspicious) actors from The Murder Mystery Company. Picture this: a glamorous, high-society masquerade ball is shattered by an unexpected death, sending guests into a swirl of hidden identities, whispered clues, and glittering intrigue. It’s up to you and your fellow guests to solve the crime where the killer could be anyone… even you!
6:30pm — Arrival, mingling and drinks
6:45pm — Shabbat blessings and kosher buffet dinner (meat meal with vegetarian and gluten free options) by House of Kosher
7:15pm — Interactive show begins
Dress: Casual or whatever you wore to work, but feel free to wear a mask (we will also provide some!)
Space is limited and advanced registration is required! RSVP now….. or ELSE 🙂

About Tribe 12
Tribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow.
Tribe 12 welcomes all people who identify as Jewish, whose partners are Jewish, and those who are exploring Judaism, regardless of Jewish knowledge or experience. We encourage everyone, Jewish and beyond, to participate in the creation and performance of the cultural rituals we share.
We commit to creating a space that celebrates the many gender identities and expressions, sexualities, religious practices, ethnic and multi-ethnic identities, racial and multi-racial identities, disabilities, and financial circumstances that make up our Jewish community.
