Boston Mine via White Bar,Dunning, and Nurian Loop at Harriman State Park

Want a day away from the city to explore nature and caverns? Join us for a hike at the Boston Mine via White Bar,Dunning, and Nurian Loop at Harriman State Park (see link above). This easy leveled hike should last 2 hours with beautiful old mining caverns , wildflowers and lakes. The exact length of the hike may vary depending on our speed and how many breaks we take. The hiking portion ought to be done around 3:00/3:30 pm with the optional After Hike Mingle to follow for food and drink at the Seven Lakes Station, a brewery and restaurant that’s a 4 minute walk and 1 minute drive from the Sloatsburg NJ Transit train station.

Meetup Spot: Arrive by 11:30 am at the Sloatsburg NJ Transit train station where we will head to the trailhead by carpooling once everyone has arrived. (14 minute ride from trailhead)

* Special Note: The time range of the event includes the optional After Hike Mingle and is flexible.*

Directions for those who don’t drive:

1) You could carpool with your friendly and welcoming group members(very popular option)

OR

2) Take the train from Penn Station to the Secaucus Junction via NJ Transit to the Main Line (Yellow Colored) getting off at the Sloatsburg train stop. This stop is a 14 minute drive to the trailhead.
