Join JUFJers from across the region for a day of action and solidarity. The Trump regime and its billionaire allies are gutting union jobs in our region. They are hunting and killing people in the streets, stripping away our rights, overturning our laws, desecrating our public lands, and working overtime to entrench their own power. Now, our elections are on the horizon. If we don’t take the reins this regime will move their intimidation from the streets to the polls. It’s time to make it clear we won’t accept anything less than elections that are free and fair, and results that are respected.
On Friday, May 1, 2026, we refuse to cooperate: No work. No school. No shopping. Get ready, get organized, and join the day of action. Together we’ll make it clear that our region’s workers, our communities, and our political power are worth fighting for — and anyone who comes for those will have to come through us.
The JUFJ contingent will meet, alongside our faith partners at Washington Interfaith Network and Congregation Action Network, at the northwest corner of the African American History Museum lawn at the intersection of 14th St and Constitution Ave NW. Nearby Metro stations include Archives (Green and Yellow lines) and Federal Triangle (Blue, Silver, and Orange lines). JUFJers will join We Are CASA on buses from Baltimore; let us know below if you would like a seat on a Baltimore bus.
