About Adamah

Adamah is North America’s largest Jewish environmental organization, formed in 2023 through the merger of the nonprofits Hazon and Pearlstone. Headquartered at the Pearlstone Retreat Center near Baltimore, Maryland, Adamah’s mission is to cultivate vibrant Jewish life in deep connection with the earth.

The organization promotes connections between Jewish life and nature through immersive retreats, farm fellowships, farm apprenticeships, environmental education, summer camp, climate action, and leadership development. Its Farm Fellowship is a signature three-month residential program that teaches adults in their 20s and 30s organic agriculture, farm-to-table living, Jewish learning, community building, social justice, and spiritual practice.

Adamah operates through a growing network of Community Impact Hubs located in Detroit, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Baltimore, along with Adamah on Campus chapters at colleges and universities nationwide. The organization also runs a Climate Action Fund supporting Jewish institutions’ sustainability efforts, and hosts programs such as Jewish farming retreats, holiday-based environmental education, and youth outdoor experiences that blend Jewish tradition with environmental stewardship.
