About BBYO
BBYO is the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement, inspiring Jewish teens to find their people, shape their purpose, and lead their communities. With more than 700 chapters across over 60 countries, BBYO operates as a home for every Jewish teen, supported by families, alumni, and partners who believe in the power of Jewish youth.
For more than 95 years, BBYO’s flagship leadership programs—Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA, the high school fraternity) and B’nai B’rith Girls (BBG, the high school sorority)—have provided exceptional leadership programs and identity enrichment experiences. The organization has shaped the confidence and character of more than 350,000 alumni who are among the most prominent figures in business, politics, academia, the arts, and Jewish communal life.
BBYO offers year-round local chapter programming, regional and international conventions, and global travel opportunities through BBYO Passport summer experiences spanning five continents. The Alumni Association keeps members connected with friends, meaningful opportunities, and leadership experiences long into adulthood.
Founded in 1924 and headquartered in Washington, DC, BBYO was formerly known as the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization. Today it stands as a global movement of Jewish teens taking on big issues and making bigger moves together.
