About CJE SeniorLife

CJE SeniorLife is a nonprofit, diversified eldercare provider and social services organization based in Chicago. Founded in 1972 as the Council for Jewish Elderly, the organization is a partner agency of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and serves more than 20,000 older adults and family members annually through residential living, home-delivered meals, transportation, healthcare, counseling, caregiver support, and research and education programs.

CJE’s mission is to enhance the quality of life and facilitate the independence of older adults. Rooted in Jewish values, the organization serves people of all faiths across the Chicago area, providing a continuum of care that meets seniors wherever they are on their aging journey. Programs include the Hub for Care Coordination, the Weinberg Community for Senior Living (assisted living and memory care), the Center for Cognitive Services, legal services, and caregiver resources.

CJE grew out of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago’s longstanding concern for keeping older adults connected to their communities. Today it is recognized as a leader in eldercare management, consistently introducing innovative community-based services and championing successful aging for Chicago-area seniors and their families.
