Jerusalem Peacebuilders

Jerusalem Peacebuilders (JPB) is an interfaith, non-profit organization founded in 2011 by Rev. Canon Nicholas and Dorothy Porter, with a mission to create a better future for humanity across religions, cultures, and nationalities. JPB’s programs unite Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Druze youth and adults from the Holy Land and the United States through transformational, person-to-person encounters designed to build a new generation of leaders committed to peace.

At the heart of JPB’s work are multi-week summer institutes and residential leadership programs where Israeli, Palestinian, and American teens and educators engage in dialogue, service projects, interfaith learning, and experiential curricula. JPB also runs in-school leadership courses in the Jerusalem area, teacher-training initiatives, and adult programming such as EXCEL, extending its reach beyond a single summer experience into ongoing, multi-year relationships.

Headquartered in Milford, Connecticut, JPB believes that the future of Jerusalem is tied to the future of the world, and that strong, values-driven leadership rooted in interfaith understanding is essential to breaking cycles of conflict. Through partnerships with schools, congregations, and community organizations in the U.S., Israel, and the Palestinian territories, JPB equips participants with the skills, relationships, and confidence to become active peacebuilders and change-agents in their own communities.
