Moving to Our Center

Moving to Our Center (MTOC) is a Denver-area nonprofit founded in 2022 by engaged members of the Jewish community and friends. Its mission is to facilitate intentional education, dialogue, and experiences for the Jewish community and beyond, tackling complex and nuanced topics such as Israel and its relationship with the U.S., democracy and freedom, and other timely, relevant issues. The organization’s goal is to demystify the notion of the ‘other’ and bring people closer to a shared sense of humanity through open, respectful dialogue.

Founded by an executive board including Robyn Loup (Chair), Elyn Shindler Moldow, and Lin Sunshine, MTOC has grown its program board to include a committed group of community leaders. Since its founding, MTOC has produced panel discussions, film screenings, artistic events, comedy nights, and youth outreach programming for the Denver Jewish community.

MTOC frequently partners with other Jewish communal institutions in Denver, including the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, the JCC Denver, the Denver Jewish Film Festival, and local synagogues such as Temple Sinai, to co-host events ranging from encore film screenings to comedy fundraisers and thoughtful panel conversations on healing and shared humanity.
